Because of an amazing story of love and perseverance, the extensive restoration was launched by The Kent Bramlett Foundation, Inc. in 1997. The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt foundation, was founded by Paul Kent (PK), Shirley and Robert Bramlett after the tragic loss in 1992 of their beloved son and brother, Kent Bramlett, and his precious girlfriend, Renee Connelly, in a terrible auto accident.

-October 12, 1972 - October 8, 1992-
The family turned their love of art, music and antiques, with the help of volunteers and donations of many others who had also suffered a great loss, into a celebration of life, as they have spent years digging through rubble and ruins of the burned-out castle.
You will find that nearly every garden, every treasure and every donation made to the Castle and the Foundation has been made in honor or in memory of the giver's beloved friends and family. The Castle is a celebration of life, as the gardens renew each spring season and the dogwoods bloom in harmonius perfection.

KENT'S DAYS
We close the Castle during the month of October each year. We take this time to be with our family, in remembrance and celebration of this precious life that touched so many, in his nearly 20 years on this earth. We look forward to the promise of Heaven, and a glorious reunion where we are promised an end to tears, and eternity in happiness.
